In the latest SLBC meeting in Karnataka, IBA raised the issue that some of the banks in Karnataka faced challenges in filing police complaints. The police do not accept the complaints ab initio filed by the bank, by citing various reasons, even in the cases where banks and customers have suffered actual financial loss. It was suggested to the banks to go for e-filing with the police and department of police was advised to accept the e-complaints and take necessary action.
