Karad inaugurates PNB’s 400th branch in Mumbai zone

Bhagwat Kishanrao Karad, Minister of State, Finance, inaugurated Punjab National Bank’s 11th branch at Aurangabad Industrial City (AURIC), Maharashtra.

The new branch marks the bank’s 400th milestone branch and 525th ATM in Mumbai Zone (Including Maharashtra and Goa). PNB has approved the opening of 13 new branches in the state in order to increase its market share and become a household name in the region.

PNB currently operates 10 branches in the Aurangabad district, with a combined turnover of more than Rs10 billion. With the opening of the bank branch in AURIC city, PNB now has 389 branches in Maharashtra. The AURIC branch will offer customer-friendly services such as cardless cash withdrawal, virtual debit card, and doorstep banking. The opening of the AURIC city branch enables the bank to meet the needs of the district’s more than 3.7 million residents.

Chief guest Karad said, “PNB has played a pivotal role in serving underprivileged and underbanked customers. Financially enabling this segment of citizens is crucial to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of ‘Atma Nirbhar Bharat’ and India becoming a $5 Trillion economy.”
