ING Vysya Bank has selected NetApp’s FAS storage system to deliver the necessary throughput, capacity and connectivity across its 553 branches. The bank has embarked on building a technology environment to support business growth for the next seven years without capacity issues. With the NetApp FAS storage system, the bank will be able to deliver online and mobile banking services to more than 2,000,000 customers across the country. Anirudha Paul, CIO of the bank, said the bank’s CBS will be the first core banking application in India to be hosted on NetApp. With NetApp’s FAS storage series, the bank can leverage the CBS to provide innovative products to customers while improving performance by 60% immediately, he added. It also reduced the batch processing time by 100%, significantly improving business agility, system uptime, resulting in greater customer satisfaction.
