India Post Payments Bank is all set to launch banking services at the customers’ doorstep soon. Customers will be able to withdraw cash as well as deposit cash sitting in the confines of their homes using the bank’s services. The bank is proposing to introduce the service in Telangana first. Besides banking at the doorstep service, the bank is also proposing to introduce a slew of services as it become operational. It will be opening 23 branches in the state with Hyderabad GPO and Siddipet Head Office taking the lead in commencing operations. The bank will have 5891 branches across Telangana. The bank’s account holders can also avail of services like internet and mobile banking besides cash deposits and withdrawals at the doorstep. The services include remittances, bill payments, direct benefit transfer, insurance, mutual fund and disbursal of loans of other banks through third party tie-ups. The bank will also offer QR cards, which carry a bar code for taking up any transactions at all channels of IPPB. It will offer virtual debit cards on the mobile banking app of IPPB.
