Doha Bank has opened its branch in Chennai. With this, the Qatar-based bank will have3 branches in India. It already has branches in Mumbai and Kochi. Dr R. Seetharaman, CEO of the bank and other officials were present on the occasion. The bank has been seeing its customer base in India grow and the new branch at Chennai is expected to handle the requirements of the customers, who include for corporate, retail, treasury, trade, finance and foreign exchange services. Seetharaman said the opening of the 3rd branch of the bank highlights the importance the bank believe India holds in the bank’s expansion strategy.
