DBS Bank launches second season of Sparks

DBS Bank India has launched the second season of Sparks, the bank’s mini-series programs that follows a group of bankers as they navigate work and their personal lives. It highlights how the power of purpose and having the right banking partner enables everyone to get a lot more out of life and from banking. The second series will have the theme of ‘Everyday Heroes for a Better World’. The new season follows a group of dynamic DBS bankers as they partner with social enterprises to address some of the most pressing social and environmental issues of the day. The episodes are inspired by the true stories of social enterprises supported and mentored by the bank. Through the second season, DBS Bank aims to galvanize change around key sustainability challenges such as plastic pollution, food waste, social inequality, fast fashion and ageing by sparking conversations about edible packaging solutions, upcycling, sustainable fashion, etc. The bank had come out with Sparks in 2018, joining hands with Sachin Tendulkar, its brand ambassador. Karen Ngui, head of DBS Group Strategic Marketing & Communications and board member of DBS Foundation said the bank believes that it has a central role to play in creating a sustainable future that goes beyond banking. And it is acutely aware that such a huge endeavor requires it to join hands with businesses, communities and the public.
