ICICI Bank organized the second season of Creative Masters, an online drawing competition connecting lakhs of participants recently and it has announced the winners. The competition was to mobilize funds for the welfare of the underprivileged children. As many as 14.92 lakh participants from various age groups took part in the contest and made depictions on three themes – ‘Family and friends’, ‘Nation’ and ‘Planet’. Aditi Rao, a 6-year-old girl from Bengaluru was adjudged the national winner. As a prize, she won a trip to Hollywood along with her family. There were 138 winners from other categories who won various prizes including gaming consoles, tablets and cycles. Chanda Kochhar, MD & CEO of the bank, said the second season of the ‘Creative Masters’ program has received a stupendous response. With nearly 15 lakh registrations this season, the bank feels this initiative has struck a chord with a larger section of people. Moreover, the contest has managed to provide a strong platform for budding artists handpicked by an eminent jury, to showcase their talent, she added. As part of the program, the bank donated Re 1 for every registration. This amount aggregating to Rs 14.92 lakh was donated to Snehalaya, an NGO looking after the welfare of children and women. Further, the winning entries are being sold online to mobilize additional funds to be donated to Snehalaya.
