The Cosmos Cooperative Bank of Pune celebrated its 108th anniversary by launching new initiatives, including ‘Tab Doorstep Banking’ to reach the customers directly at their doorsteps, software to connect regional offices and branches of the bank through video conferencing, and Toastmasters Club for employees. Chairman of the bank Krishnakumar Goyal announced the launch of these initiatives. He said under the bank’s policy of ‘Quality Management System’, the demat section of Bank has recently received “ISO-9001-2008” certification from British Standard Institution. The ‘Tab Doorstep Banking’ would offer high net worth individuals and senior citizens various banking services at their doorstep, including savings accounts, deposit and withdrawal facilities and opening of fixed deposit accounts. This service will also be available to rural customers. He said the bank will appoint business correspondents as part of the financial inclusion program undertaken by the bank. Vice chairman of the bank Milind Kale said to facilitate communication between various regional offices across India and the branch managers new video conferencing software has been developed. This will help in quick communication to expedite fast decisions.
