BNP Paribas has appointed Joris Dierckx as India country head and chief executive for India effective from 1 July. Dierckx takes over from Jacques Michel, who will relocate to Bahrain as BNP’s head of corporate and institutional banking for the Middle East and Africa. Michel had been leading the bank in India since 2009.
Dierckx has been head of BNP Paribas in Korea since 2012. He will report to Eric Raynaud, chief executive officer of BNP Paribas Asia Pacific.
