Bank of Baroda, as part of its 109th foundation day, organized a human chain titled ‘Hum Hindustani – Sambandhon ki Shrankhla’ (We Indians – chain of relationship) at Nariman Point in Mumbai. About 3000 employees of the bank and customers from different branches/ offices participated in the event. As part of the program, employees of the bank communicated social messages to Mumbaikars by displaying placards carrying messages on social issues like saving a girl child, cleanliness, traffic etiquettes, save water, universal education etc. Senior officials of the bank and eminent personalities participated in the event. P.S. Jayakumar, MD & CEO, Mayank Mehta, EED, Nagesh Srivastava, GM, Greater Mumbai Zone, and other senior officers participated in the human chain. Later, the bank employees also participated in a tree plantation program under the ‘Hamara Lakshya – Do Koti Vraksha’ project, a government of Maharashtra initiative.
