Bank of America has upgraded its mobile app. It now includes enhancements to its AI-driven virtual financial assistant, Erica, including features like an improved shopping experience and several updates for debit and credit card holders. The new features will allow customers to ask Erica for details on potential unauthorized card charges and for help with initiating a dispute. An official of the bank said the new look and feel of the mobile app reflects the bank’s focus on delivering solutions for clients that are timely, relevant and accessible, however they choose to bank. The bank said it will provide more services through Erica next year. Erica has about 9 million users. The upgraded features also let users see more information about how much money they can save by paying down their credit card balances faster. Erica also will have added security features. Erica has handled about 75 million client interactions since its introduction, which started as a pilot program among employees 2 years ago before a nationwide rollout in 2018.
