Bank of Baroda, as part of its efforts in promoting Indian classical music, announced support for ‘Udayswar@Prithvi’, a collaboration between Pancham Nishad and Prithvi Theatre in Mumbai. The bank said the objective is to encourage the endeavor to preserve and promote the rich traditional performing arts of India. ‘Udayswar@Prithvi’, a concert of morning ragas, is a unique acoustic experience, wherein, the intimacy and excellent acoustics of Prithvi Theatre enables an unadulterated exchange of music between the artiste and the audience making it unlike any other in today’s age of microphones and amplification. With the bank’s exclusive support, the first of the eleven shows of ‘Udayswar@Prithvi’ began with a performance by Shubha Mudgal and will be followed by performances by rising and renowned vocal and instrumental Indian classical musicians on the 3rd Sunday of every month.
