Bank of Baroda became the first public sector bank to open a digital banking lobby at the Metro station in Sikenderpur in Gurugram. The digital banking lobby is equipped with high tech infrastructure and offers seamless services at the Metro station with various utilities. The services provided at the digital lobby include instant account opening and issue of debit card using eKYC, ATM for cash withdrawal, coin vending machine and a multi-functional kiosk offering facilities like cheque deposit, mobile recharge, account balance enquiry, mini statement generation, bill payment, internet banking convenience etc. The lobby also has two bank staff members to assist customers in resolving their queries and offering products of the bank. Ashok Kumar Garg, ED of the bank, said the digital lobby is one of the best platforms that the bank is offering and it wants its customers to get the maximum benefit out of it. Rakesh Kumar Bhatia, GM (Mktg, Corp. Comm. & WMS) of the bank, said the digital lobby will help customers to deal with day to day transactions and the 2 officials stationed at the lobby will assist the customers in experiencing the “Banking on the Move”.
