The National Payments Corporation of India has reappointed Balachandran M. as the non-executive chairman for a further period of two years. He has been holding the position for the last two years upon the resignation of N.R. Narayana Murthy. Balachandran has been CMD of Bank of India, director of IBPS and nominee director of RBI on the Board of NPCI, before his appointment as non-executive chairman.
