Avtar Monga, currently COO of IDFC Bank has been appointed executive director of the bank. The appointment has taken effect from 25 April. Monga has been with IDFC Bank since March 2014. He has over 35 years of experience in the banking and financial services industry and had served as MD at Bank of America Global Delivery Centers of Expertise (GDCE), globally. He has been responsible for establishing the bank’s Captives, known as BA Continuum, across India and led its expansion into Asia and Latin America. BA Continuum was responsible for providing services across multiple lines of business and functions across Bank of America. He has also been with GE Capital as part of the India management team and was instrumental in the establishment of its credit card joint venture with State Bank of India.
