SBI Cards & Payments Services has appointed Ashwini Kumar Tewari as its MD and CEO. The company said Tiwari will have a 2-year tenure starting from August 2020. He will replace Hardayal Prasad, who is voluntarily retiring after a stint of two-and-a-half years in the company. Tewari, 52, an engineering graduate from BITS, Ranchi, has been with SBI since 1991 and has worked in various capacities in the bank. He also had stints in the bank’s offices in New York and Hong Kong. SBI Card is majority-owned by State Bank of India.
