State Bank of India has appointed Anshula Kant as managing director. She will have a term until 30 September 2020, the bank said. Kant has been the bank’s deputy managing director and CFO. With her appointment, the bank will have 4 MDs – P.K. Gupta, D.K. Khara and Arijit Basu, besides her. The bank said in a statement she would be handling the areas of stressed assets, risk and compliance. Kant is a graduate in Economics from Lady Shri Ram College and post-graduate from Delhi School of Economics. She is also a Certified Associate of the Indian Institute of Bankers. She began her career with SBI in 1983 as a probationary officer.
