Madia will also present awards to the distinguished winners of these prestigious awards.
With extensive knowledge in the technology sector, Madia has a keen interest in the startup ecosystem, industry, health, education, human development, and agriculture. He is committed to leveraging disruptive technology to revolutionize the socio-economic landscape of the state.
Anand Madia, who has been granted a rank equivalent to a Secretary of State, aims to use his knowledge acquired over two decades for the betterment of the state. While he graduated in commerce, he spent a considerable amount of his younger days closely studying the technology sector. After completing his education, he set up a small enterprise, which specialised in tech gadgets. Taking his passion further, he set up a software firm, which developed programs for Indian and European entities. Having done well for himself, he started assisting the government when it came to using technology in public administration. In 2014, he was appointed by the Government of Sikkim as ex–officio secretary. Using his core competence, he focused on e-governance projects in the state of Sikkim. In 2016, he was appointed as an advisor by the chief minister of Arunachal Pradesh. His focus during his stint in Arunachal Pradesh was inward investments and the use of technology for the betterment of governance. He is once again using his vast knowledge of technology and public administration to achieve the sustainable development goals (SDG) outlined by the NITI Aayog.
