All the mandis across the country will be directly connected with NABARD at a cost of Rs 65 billion
During his two-day visit to Gujarat, Union Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah inaugurated the new Panchmahal District Cooperative Bank (PDC Bank) head office and three mobile ATM vans. Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel and Union Minister Purushottam Rupala were both in attendance at a series of events.
Amit Shah stated that the Government of India is running a programme to directly connect all mandis across the country with NABARD, which will cost Rs 65 billion. ” Under Narendra Modi’s leadership, the cooperative sector will undergo a significant transformation. There is talk of expanding into many new areas, creating a database, and organising training. We are also considering legal changes to triple the number of PACS. For years, previous governments ignored the demands of people from all over the country associated with the cooperative movement,” Shaw said.
He dedicated several development projects at Panchamrit Dairy in Godhra, and a dairy plant in Malegaon, Maharashtra, and laid the foundation for a dairy plant at Ujjain in Madhya Pradesh.
