Aditya Puri, MD and CEO of HDFC Bank, has been conferred with the AIMA-JRD Tata Corporate Leadership Award for 2018. Hardeep Singh Puri, union minister of state for housing and urban affairs presented the award to Puri at the All India Management Association’s 63rd Foundation Day celebrations in New Delhi. The citation presented to Puri said ‘One of India’s finest bankers and an institution builder, he has created a uniquely conservative yet modern bank.’ The award was unanimously decided by a jury chaired by Nandan Nilekani, chairman, Infosys. Besides the citation, the award also carried a cash component of Rs 2 lakh.
