YES Bank announced that it has launched its own digital wallet YES Pay for Android and iOS mobile platforms. The app can also be accessed through social media accounts of Facebook. The app can be used for mobile recharge and bill payment as well as to send and receive money by the users as well as non-users of the app. Ritesh Pai, country head, Digital Banking at the bank, said the wallet does not require that both the transacting parties be registered on the wallet. For example, a businessman who is registered on YES Pay can request payment from clients remotely. The client gets a link via SMS and payment can be made using card or net-banking. YES Wallet is now available on app-stores and has seen more than 4 lakh transactions conducted by 25,000 early adopters in a span of 100 days. The bank has partnered with aggregators and merchants like PayU, Euronet, CouponDunia, One Assist and Witty Gift to enable users of YES Pay to access exciting discount vouchers, coupons, avail handset insurance and also download latest music.
