Qatar Islamic Bank (QIB) has launched a new service specifically for women to meet their financial needs and to empower all citizens in the country. The service expects to meet the wide range of financial needs of the modern day women. The bank has 12 dedicated Ladies Banking Centers, strategically located in different places around Qatar, which are open from 7.30 am to 1 pm. The centers ensure privacy and convenience and clients are served exclusively by female staff. A dedicated call center, served by female call center agents is also providing its services from 8 am to 5 pm. Women customers can now enjoy competitive profit rates on their fixed deposits. They can also achieve their financial goals through obtaining quick and hassle-free finance at preferential profit rates. The bank has also taken into consideration worries that plague women, these including children’s education and personal health concerns. The bank is offering free Takaful coverage for 1-year, covering general and female related risks. Additionally, ladies can also apply for the Family Shield, a family Takaful policy that provides relief in times of distress. Moreover, all women in Qatar can now enjoy motor takaful with preferential rate. According to a recent survey by the ministry of development, planning and statistics, there are 586,030 women living in Qatar and of these, around 253,000 are economically active.
