Bandhan Bank will open 60 branches over the next six months across the country. The bank’s MD and CEO Chandra Shekhar Ghosh said the bank at present has 840 branches and by March it should increase to 900 across the country. The bank would also add 2,000 people to its workforce, he added. Ghosh also said the proposed IPO of the bank would happen before August 2018 and the bank had already appointed 5 merchant bankers for the purpose. The terms of the license issued to the bank by the RBI stipulates that it should get listed within 3 years of the commencement of operations.
